Bringing Power to the People
The Pyro Yield Technology
The idea of first developing the FPR came about in the Philippines when Dan Morgan our Chief Operations Director was asked by several companies to look at the problems associated with the time and energy it took to make charcoal and activated carbon from coconut shell, his initial research and development resulted in a time reduction from the standard 8 hours it took to produce charcoal down to 15 minutes and activated carbon from between 2 and 24 hours down to 1 hour.
Since that early research program Pyro Yield has worked to produce a FPR that is capable of delivering either activated carbon or biochar while at the same time providing several power generation options via the thermal energy and or syngas delivery to a steam turbine or engine.
"Our technology is a game changer, the conventional rotary kiln technology in use today for the production of activated carbon is a major pollution source as it requires fossil fuel to provide the process heat and either coal or charcoal as the feed material, both of which have to be pre-processed, both of which contribute to pollution."
